So we decided to take a family trip to Mexico for New Years. Being the only one's with kids, it was pretty interesting. But they were champs, and loved every minute of it.

This is a well that Aydin fell down on our first day there. What a way to start the trip. This picture doesn't do justice, but it was about 8 feet deep and full of bricks, crowbars, etc. Scaries thing ever! Some maintenance men left a grate open while they were working on the pool. If this was the US, we would have had a law suit on our hands! But Dorothy, we aren't in Kansas anymore...

If you look hard you can see the dolphins swimming in the bay. We watched them as we at breakfast. What a sight.

Makena playing in the fountain. Nothing like a little crack to spice up your day!

The beach is exhausting...

Ok, so who new there were hippies in Mexico? Not me, but apparently there are! This was a little hippie town just north of Puerto Vallarta. Coolest, craziest little place we saw. But if you think hippies are cheap, think again. We checked out some real estate--the cheapest place (and we're talking a dive!) was going for about 750k!

Deep sea fishing. I know, not the best picture of me, but I was sick at sea most of the morning. We caught some nice yellow tail, though. Sushi anyone?

The girls loved the beach. Makena was a little timid at first, but she warmed up fast. Aydin jumped right in. She was a natural on the boogie board. Wanted to go again and again. They are both water babies.

The sunsets were gorgeous. Needless to say, we bought a time share (can you blame us?). What can I say? I'm a sucker for a great beach. Viva la Mexico! (Yes, Chad took this picture.)
